MTV's "Jersey Shore" season 2 premiere can boast the top cable telecast of 2010 with viewers aged 12 to 34, the network announced today.

About 5.3 million viewers got their GTL on Thursday night, making it MTV's best season premiere since the season 2 launch of "The Osbournes" in 2002, according to Nielsen ratings.


In the premiere, the gang (including former roomie Angelina Pivarnick) reunite in Miami for all-new adventures and vintage drama: Will Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola and Ronnie Magro make up? Will Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino step on any grenades? What scrap of fabric will Jenni "JWoww" Farley drape over her chest and call clothing? Will Vinny Guadagino actually get a storyline this season? How much spray tan can Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi apply before start mistaking her for a traffic cone?
